COPPER SUNSET

In 2025, the Public Switched Telephone Network (PSTN) is being switched off by BT Openreach, this is also known as the ‘Copper Sunset’. This means everyone, including businesses, currently using PSTN (copper based) services will need to move to another service before then.

One of the services replacing ADSL & FTTC is SOGEA (Single Order Generic Ethernet Access) which is a data only connection.

As the network development continues to improve, we are now able to offer SOGFAST, this is a new broadband package which uses the same technology as SOGEA for Ultrafast speeds SOGFAST offers the same data rates, performance, and VDSL technology as FTTC with the additional benefit of being a true all IP solution to meet the demands and reliance for todays and future connectivity solutions.
